Wait. Did we not tell you about the Red Magic 6 and the Red Magic 6S Pro gaming smartphones? No? But never mind we did not because the latter has an edition that may tickle the fancy of most grown men (and even some ladies).
Folks, this is the Red Magic 6S Pro Camouflage Edition. Oh. Wait. Before we proceed, you may want to know the 6 was revealed in March while the 6S was revealed sometime in September. OK. Now on with the super cool Red Magic 6S Pro Camouflage Edition.
From the product name, you are probably expecting a regular camo on the back. Well, yes and no. It is camo but only half. The other half is transparent. Like, how cool is that? Transparent and camo. It is a match no one ever imagines and yet so cool.
Also, the camo isn’t quite the kind of camo you may have expected. It is made up of geometric patterns (which is kind of like digital camo).
In addition, you get the Redmagic OS 4.5 enhanced edition with a camo UI, along with a bunch of accessories that are camo-themed, including the 120W charging brick, a phone case, and the charging case of the included TWS earbuds. Yes. That comes as a standard too.
All these are presented in the most military-ish packaging it can get: a military ammunition box – complete with military-style texts. Well, texts in Chinese, of course.
Beyond the dope camo treatment, the Red Magic 6S Pro is pretty much the same as the regular 6S Pro – the range-topping model, that is.
This means features like 165 Hz 6.8-inch FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080) AMOLED display with a mind-boggling 720 Hz touch sampling rate (!), Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ Mobile Platform, Magic GPU 1.0, 4,500 mAh in a dual battery setup, LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 (18 GB + 512 GB, respectively), 450 Hz dual independent IC touch shoulder trigger, 3-mic setup located on each side of the phone, a dedicated button to enter game mode, 3.5 mm headphone jack, dual stereo speaker support DTS X Ultra, WiFi 6E, a 64 MP AI triple camera (64 main + 8 MP super wide-angle + 2 MP macro), and 8 MP front-facing camera.
Now, 888 or 888+, is notorious for the heat generations, as such this latest gaming device boasts three ways of getting the heat off its back and it includes an onboard ICE 7.0 nine-level multi-dimensional cooling system, the use of aerospace-grade phase change heat dissipation material, and dual-fan cooler external cooling fan – in matching camo, no less.
The Red Magic 6S Pro Camouflage Edition is now being sold in the China market for 6,999 yuan (or about US$1,098).
