When we talked about the Redmagic 8S Pro a few days ago, we did mention that it also has a ‘plus’ model in China like in the case of the Redmagic 8 Pro. The ‘plus’ model differs only in battery capacity. It has a smaller 5,000 mAh battery but is supplied with a 165 W GaN fast-charging brick.
Like the Redmagic 8 Pro, it also has a Hasbro collab edition featuring another Transformers character. For the Redmagic 8S Pro+, it is none other than Bumblebee. As expected, Bee’s edition of the phone is predominantly yellow, the character’s signature color.
Like the Redmagic 8 Pro+ Optimus Prime Edition, the Redmagic 8S Pro+ Bumblebee comes in a unique collectible package. It is a long box with a pentagon cross-section in yellow, decorated with the headshot of Bumblebee along with the inscription “SINCE 1984” and “Bumblebee Racing, the iconic Camaro black racing stripes, and an Autobot Racing logo.
The package comes with a Bumblebee-themed phone featuring a glass back, which is partially transparent, in yellow, and decorated with a black Camaro-style racing strip where you can find a yellow Autobot logo as well as the Redmagic logo, also in yellow.
Bumblebee’s name, as well as his original Cybertron name ‘B-187’ can also be found on the back cover, along with ‘Redmagic’. The RGB-lit fan is also visible on the back as well like the regular version.
The package also contains a Bumblebee-themed magnetic heat dissipation fan that is designed to be used with the included Autobot-themed transparent magnetic esports heat dissipation phone case.
You will also find a custom black SIM ejector decorated with an Autobot symbol in yellow, a yellow USB-C cable, a Bumblebee collectible pin, and a documentation box in yellow featuring Bumblebee contained inside the box. Bee’s presence is also in the phone by way of a Bumblebee-themed UI.
The Redmagic 8S Pro+ Bumblebee Gaming Smartphone is offered in 16 GB + 512 GB configuration and it will be available starting in August, in China only, for 6,499 yuan (about US$904).
