In addition to the Dimensity-powered ROG Phone 6 revealed, ASUS also unveiled a special edition ROG Phone 6, the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition, created in collaboration with none other than Warner Bros. and DC. As expected, the tweaks on the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition are strictly cosmetics. While so, it is a phone no diehard fans of Batman should ignore because it is one hell of a Bat package.
We shall not speak of the specs which we already did in the previous post. For a start, the phone has a special finish that, when it catches the light, mimics a cloudy night sky penetrated by a searchlight. Also on the back, the special Aura RGB illuminated logo is an outline image of the Bat emblem.
The Batman treatment continues in the custom UI, featuring exclusive themed live wallpapers, icons, animations, sound effects, and more. ASUS has gone super deep into theming the device, right down to the yellow Bat emblem as the in-display fingerprint icon. Sweet.
That’s the handset. Meanwhile, the package, IMHO, is what really makes this a must-have for superfans. The Batman-themed is supplied with a unique set of matching accessories that includes a USB-C-powered Bat-Signal searchlight mini-projector that can project one of two versions of the famous Bat-Signal onto nearby surfaces.
In addition, there is a Batman Aero Case with a special finish and a hidden ‘Easter egg’ image inspired by the Batman graphic novels, and a Batman emblem SIM ejector pin and a Gotham City-inspired desktop holder (yes, a stand for the ejector pin! Imagine that!).
All of these culminate in a specially designed hard-shell travel case, a sturdy, one-piece water-resistant case made from expanded polypropylene (EPP), for safekeeping the device and its accessories. As a final touch, the military-style suitcase-inspired case is finished with an embossed Batman logo stamped on the lid.
The ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition Gaming Smartphone is powered by one of the two latest flagship smartphone chips. This means you can have the Batman edition in the SoC of your choosing. But I am guessing it is market-dependent. Pricing has not been disclosed. Neither was the availability.
