I can understand why phone makers and action camera brands try to outdo one another. Smartphones and action cams are where the money is. They are profitable. But handheld fans? That I cannot understand. If you have not already noticed, big brands have been giving niche players like Jisulife a run for their money. First it was Dyson. Then came Laifen and Xiaomi. Now smartwatch maker Rogbid is on it, too.

Mind you, this is not Rogbid’s first handheld fan. The company has already taken a stab at the portable cooling market before. This time, however, it is not showing up with just another generic fan.
Rogbid has brought a gimbal into the game. And yes, a handheld gimbal is a thing. Why? Because Rogbid can. But it is not quite the gimbal you think it is. It would not make much sense anyway if it did. So, no, it cannot automatically aim at you however you move the fan; instead, the gimbal offers a 180-degree adjustable fan head, allowing it to be pointed at the targeted area regardless of how you hold it, place it on a desk, or hang it around your neck.
Whatever the reason, Rogbid has gone ahead and done exactly that. Folks, meet the Rogbid Winggo, a portable gimbal fan packed with cooling tech and then some.
This may be the second handheld fan from Rogbid, but already, it is powered by a third-generation high-speed, energy-saving motor capable of producing wind speeds of up to 11 m/s while reducing power consumption by approximately 30%.
This air pusher features an advanced turbo airflow system with newly upgraded dual-layer honeycomb air intake vents and a pressurized airflow channel, which Rogbid says optimize air intake and concentrate airflow for maximum cooling performance.

As far as wind goes, it has 100 wind-speed levels to choose from.
That is not all. There is a built-in semiconductor cooling system, which works like a miniature air-conditioning system, ensuring the air coming out of it is cool.
The device boasts an upgraded aluminum alloy handle that is cool to the touch while offering good impact resistance that should stand up to daily abuse. And then there is a built-in LED display that offers at-a-glance information such as wind speed and battery status.
Packed inside the handy device is a 3,000 mAh battery, rechargeable via USB-C, that provides up to 10 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. Also on the handle—at the bottom—is an integrated emergency light with three levels of brightness plus a flashing SOS mode.
So, the Rogbid Winggo is not just a cooling device. It is also kind of survival gear in the event of an emergency.
If you are down, the Rogbid Winggo Handheld Gimbal Fan is available now for just US$39.99 a pop.
