Rokon 2x2 Off-road Motorcycles

The Rokon 2×2 Off-road Motorcycles may not float on water as the Taurus does, but it is the granddaddy of 2x2s. Started in the 1950s, Rokon has been American’s most enduring low-volume vehicle maker. It all when inventor Charles Fehn designed and produced the first all-wheel-drive motorcycle, the Trailerbreaker.

More than 60 years on, Rokon is still going strong – albeit after changing hands several times. How many hands it has changed since does not matter. What matters is, it survived and that alone is brilliant news for off-road lovers who have a thing for 2 by 2s.

Part of the allure of the Rokon line of 2×2 bikes is the rugged nature and the oh-so-very-50s aesthetics. Unique to Rokon 2×2 is a narrow track, high ground clearance, and excellent traction offered by its knobby tires. Each Rokon further boasts front and rear storage racks, a seat for two, and the ability to hook up with a sidecar or trailer to turn it into a 2-wheeled truck.

An adjustable shock suspension seat is also available, along with a complete line of hunting, recreational and agricultural. Currently, six models are available. However, not all are road-legal. But it does not matter because this little guy is not for regular roads anyways.
