Samsung has just revealed a new device joining the S20 series, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE), and haters of fingerprint magnet, glossy back phone will be thrilled because, it ain’t got a glossy back. It has a textured haze effect. Brilliant. And it is a whole 300 dollars cheaper than the standard S20 when it was launched while still rocking the flagship chip and flagship specs.

Depending on the region, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will either get the (sucky) Exynos 990 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (which makes it a 5G handset).

On the imaging department, it gets a 32 MP selfie camera and a triple-camera rear-facing shooter (12 MP ultra wide-angle + 12 MP wide-angle + 8 MP telephoto) that boasts OIS, Tracking AF, 3x optical zoom, plus up to 30x Super Resolution Zoom.

Other key spec details include a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.5-inch flat FHD+ (2,400 by 1,080 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-O display (translation: hole-punch display), 6 or 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128 or 256 GB storage, IP68 rated construction, stereo speakers sound by AKG, surround sound with Dolby Atmos technology, and a 4,500 mAh battery with Fast Charging 2.0 and supports USB PD 3.0, and Wireless PowerShare.

All these for a starting price of US$699.99 for 5G model when it becomes available on October 02, 2020. Pre-order for the the S20 Fan Edition is open as we speak.
