Last year’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition must be a hit for Samsung to justify for another. That’s right. This year’s Flip5 has gotten the Maison Margiela Edition too. Maison Margiela recently unveiled its second collaboration, introducing a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip5.
This partnership intertwines the identities of Samsung Galaxy and Maison Margiela, targeting individuals seeking freshness and unconventionality in their devices. The Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition features a rear glass design showcasing the inner workings of a Maison Margiela jacket, emphasizing silver and metallic effects unique to this edition. This semi-transparent design aims to reveal the hidden structure and details of the garment, echoing Maison Margiela’s design philosophy.
Additionally, the Flap Leather Case and the Flipsuit Case further highlight Maison Margiela’s craftsmanship and pursuit of uniqueness. The Flap Leather Case displays black leather, woven fabric, and genuine fabric logo labels, embodying the brand’s ‘Work-in-Progress’ design identity. The Flipsuit Case includes Flipsuit Cards with a distinct numbering design, altering the device’s theme when attached to the Z Flip5. The packaging mirrors Maison Margiela’s unfinished style, featuring a stitching pattern reminiscent of atelier sample storage.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela edition will hit select markets starting November 30. So far, we only find it listed on Samsung’s Hong Kong website. There’s no price though because it is marked as “sold out”.
