if you are super serious about iPhonegraphy, then you would probably have amass a slew of photography-related apps by now. however, you might want to take its hardware a notch up by acquiring the Schneider iPro Series 2 Lenses for iPhone 5. we are totally aware that add-on lenses for iPhone are getting a bit of attention these days, and hence there are options out there. but with the Schneider, you are talking about folks with over 90 years of optics manufacturing under its belt and therefore it is safe to say these guys do know a thing or two about lenses. speaking of which, they already have a few of those catering to iPhone 4/4S and they have just added two new lenses, a super-wide 0.45x and a macro lens, to its line and has added compatibility with iPhone 5. think it’s high time the German firm do that since iPhone 5 does have really good imaging capability and we are pretty sure iPhonegraphers out there can’t wait explore its potential further with add-on lenses.
as you may have already noticed, these lenses work in conjunction with a specially-designed case and this case is now retooled and comes in two parts. for case-haters, you will be glad to know that this new case allows you to use just the top section when you need to use the add-on lens. it is a small improvement, but no doubt a welcome one. the Schneider iPro Series 2 Lenses for iPhone 5 is expected to hit the stores this May, though there is no indication of their pricing at this point. if the near $200 price tag for the iPhone 4/4S wide kit is anything to go by, we should be expecting the iPhone 5 kit to cost about the same, if not more. check out a chat up with Schneider by Newsshooter at the recent 2013 NAB Show in the embedded video below.
