Locking your pedal-powered two-wheeler is essential, but carrying with you a bicycle lock can be a hassle and that’s not to mention it can be quite an eyesore too. There exists several solutions to these nagging issues and one of the latest to hit the market is this super cool, wearable folding bicycle lock called Foldylock Clipster from the folks brought you the saddle/bike lock hybrid.
Foldylock Clipster is not just a folding lock; it is a lock that, when folded down, does not even look like a bike lock and on top of that, you need not to mar the look of your bike frame because, it is wearable. It comes with an integrated clip that lets you clip Foldylock Clipster to your belt, backpack, or simply slip it into your back pocket of your jeans, thus making it the world’s first wearable folding lock.
When I first saw this in our inbox, I thought it was a belt; it was not, but I guess clipping it works too. Anywho, what Foldylock Clipster offers you is security without comprising style and who knows? Slapping on a Foldylock Clipster on your hip might become a fashion trend? Hardware aspect, Foldylock Clipster is composed of six hardened steel links over-mold by a reinforced military-grade UV-treated polymer which brings about several benefits (aside from securing your bike).
The lock won’t degrade in look over time and being polymer, it will not threaten to deface your bike’s finish. Furthermore, it boasts anti-drilling hardened and rust-free components to ensure it can take even the most violent abuses, withstand extreme weather conditions – all while keeping your precious ride from the hands of criminal minds.
When unfolded, Foldylock Clipster forms a hexagonal form with a generous circumference of 33.5 inches (85 cm). It collapses to a compact bar measuring 2.35 inches wide, 7.45 inches long and 1.6 inches on its thickest side (6 x 18.9 x 4.1 cm), and tipping the scale at a reasonable 2.2 lbs (1 kilogram). You can find Foldylock Clipster on Kickstarter going for $59-65.
If all goes as planned, i.e. the campaign gets funded, you can expect to see Seatylock’s new bike lock at your doorstep sometime in August 2018. Watch the product video below to see it in action.
