April Fools’ Days may be behind us now, but when we stumble upon yet another ‘pure gold prank’ that we have missed, we can’t help but to share it here and today, that ‘pure gold prank’ which we talked about is this ‘revolutionary’ selfie shoes by New York-based shoe maker Miz Mooz. To be honest, we’d be lying if we say we weren’t a bit impressed and almost fall for it. The product is so convincing and yet so absurd at the same time which makes it all the fun and had us wanting to believe it is real. Obviously, it is not because not all ladies have ballad or yoga-quality kicks that would allow them to take selfie with their long, slender legs. And in case you are totally clueless about what Selfie Shoes is, well, it is what it say it is. The shoes basically invite you to ‘dock’ your smartphone on either one of the shoes and take selfie by lifting your feet.
On the objective aspect, it does make quite a lot of sense since legs are longer than arms (not unless you happen to be a gorilla or chimpanzee) and for some ladies, it could be even be longer than a typical, extendable selfie stick and as a boon, you will never have to worry about selfie stick ban that is happening around the world. On the flip side, the shoes aren’t quite lady-like and appears to look like men’s flat toe shoes due to the fact that the toe box needs to be widen and lengthened to accommodate the smartphone. Anywho, it might be a prank that sounds ridiculously brilliant, but a prank is a prank and at the end of the day we only can laugh it off and say, “that’s a good one.” But would you, ladies, want one if there is really such a thing?
