audio specialist Sennheiser has a new addition to its Travel Line family – the Sennheiser CXC 700 ear-canal headphones with NoiseGard, this in-ear (or ear-canal, as Sennheiser calls it) features a newly developed featured dubbed as the NoiseGard/digital system that offers users a choice of three noise-canceling profiles. each profile is optimized for wide range of ambient noise that a traveling person would likely to encounter.
this pair of buds offers three user-selectable modes of noise-canceling that tackles background noise of different frequencies, ranging from low to medium to wide frequency range. in mode 1, it cancels out low-frequency onus generated from small aircrafts, buses or trains, while mode 2 tackles medium frequency range coming from air-conditioning systems, bigger aircrafts and the likes. finally, mode 3 will cover a wide frequency range that combines mode 1 and mode 2. mode 3 is particularly useful you find yourself in a room with air-conditioning systems rumbling and a large aircraft idling away. well, that’s just a scenario but you will likely not to find an aircraft inside a room with air-conditioning running.
an AAA battery powers the active noise-canceling but in the event if the battery goes flat, the CXC 700 will continue to provide user with quality music through its 10-mm drivers in its passive mode. an inline remote holds the key to noise-canceling mode selection and volume control. for a retail price of US$229.95, the Sennheiser CXC 700 ear-canal headphones with NoiseGard/digital comes packaged with an inflight adapter, a 6.35-mm jack plug, a cleaning tool, three sizes of ear buds and a small carrying case.
