do we really need another special edition smart fortwo with the same engine lineup? maybe not but then when you take a look at smart fortwo Edition Cityflame’s striking pearlescent flame yellow body panels set against the black tridion safety cell, we couldn’t help but to call it super cool. as you would have expected, what goes under the hood remain unchanged: you still get the same 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol unit with or without force induction that pumps out 84 hp (62 kW) and 71 hp (52 kW), respectively. naturally, the highlight is not the power plant but the colors and the equipment level. available as a coupe (aka compact hatch) and cabrio, this limited edition two-seater ride sits on a set of 15-inch rolling stocks in black 3-double-spoke design with wide tires (front: 175/55 R15 and rear: 195/50 R15). the special edition treatment continues into the interior with a leather-look interior and contrasting yellow stitching, a 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles and exclusive floor mats with ‘cityflame’ embroidery. limited to just 2,400 units, the Edition Cityflame is based on the smart’s passion equipment line, which comes with softouch automatic gear program, electric windows, air conditioning with automatic temperature control and a transparent panoramic roof with sun blind – just to name a few. the smart fortwo Edition Cityflame will roll into the showroom this April with a starting price of €14,490 (about US$19,200). scroll down for a small gallery of the Edition Cityflame.
