Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Canceling Headphones wouldn’t be the “most anticipated” headphones if you aren’t an audiophile. However, in case you are in the market for a pair of very good pair of noise-canceling cans, the WH-1000XM4 might be the headphones to look out for.
Already on its fourth-generation, the WH-1000XM4 now boasts additional smart features, allowing you to personalize and control music.
The star feature here is clearly it is noise-canceling tech that promised “improve industry-leading noise cancellation” as well as automatic ambient sound adjustment based on your preference.
Sony said the WH-1000XM4 has the company’s “best-ever noise canceling performance.”
Here’s how the noise-canceling tech on the WH-1000XM4 works:
With two microphones on each ear cup, Dual Noise Sensor technology captures ambient noise and passes the data to the trusted HD Noise Canceling Processor QN1. Then a new BLUETOOTH® Audio System on Chip (SoC) senses music and noise at over 700 times per second. Using a new algorithm, the HD Noise Canceling Processor QN1 applies noise canceling processing in real time. This industry-leading noise canceling allows the user to focus more on the music or entertainment they love and blur out the chaos of the outside world.
The magic lies in the new, super fast Bluetooth Audio SoC. On paper it sure sounds like the gold standard in noise-canceling technology for headphones.
Other notables include Edge-AI to make music sounds even better, 360 Reality Audio for an immersive audio experience, ‘Speak-to-Chat’ that stops the music when the can detects that you are speaking, and wear detection to help prolong battery life (up to a whopping 30 hours!) – just to name a few.
There is more to it. So, we suggest you go check out if you want a really good pair noise-busting cans.
Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Canceling Headphones will arrive later this Summer in a choice of black and silver, priced at US$349.99.
