Surprised. Sony Xperia 1 III did not take too long to be available. The device was announced back in April with Xperia 5 II. In the article we lamented that Sony always took too long to release its announced devices. Well, not this time.
So, yeah, the Sony Xperia 1 III is finally available… well, to order. The actual release date is August 19, 2021. The Sony Xperia 1 III can be purchased, unlocked, from Sony authorized retailers for US$1,299.99.
To entice buyers, orders placed by September 26, 2021 will received the WF-1000XM3 wireless noise canceling earbuds worth US$230 for free, plus 43,200 Call of Duty: Mobile CP Points that is said to worth US$540. The WF-1000XM3 was last year’s flagship earbuds.
The device will be shipped with Android 11 and available in a choice of Black and Frosted Purple. The latter is a Sony Electronics online exclusive.
