A couple of decades ago, nobody would be any wiser that vlogging can actually make a person a star and earn a living. But here we are, vlogging has become a profession in some ways. If you are a person who earn your dough through this non-tradition “career”, then perhaps it warrants for a dedicated camera.
Not just any camera, though. A vlog camera. And a vlog camera is exactly what the Sony ZV-E10 is. While it looks like any camera, the Sony ZV-E10 isn’t just any camera.
It is designed from the ground up for vlogging and vloggers, boasting a custom-built feature set that is optimized for video creators. In fact, the Sony ZV-E10 is the first Alpha series interchangeable lens vlog camera.
Unique to this model is a zoom lever that can operate optical zoom with power zoom lenses, Clear Image zoom with both zoom and prime lenses, and multiple, selectable zoom speed settings.
Key features include a 24.2 MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor, BIONZ X image processing engine, side-opening Vari-angle LCD screen, EIS with Active Mode, 4K video recording, FHD 120p slow-mo, and advanced AF.
This snapper further features a couple of vlogging-focused features like a new mode button for quick change between shooting modes and “Background Defocus” that smoothly switch between blurred (bokeh) and sharp background and “Product Showcase Setting” mode that allows the camera to automatically shift focus from the subject’s face to an object being highlighted.
The Sony ZV-E10 Interchangeable Lens Vlog Camera will be available end of August for US$799.99.
