Hasbro and Disney are betting big on the latest Star Wars spin-off, Obi-Wan Kenobi. I mean the show barely had the tubes warmed but already, we are seeing high collectibles from the show. First, there is the US$500 Reva’s Lightsaber and now, we heard there is going to have an animatronic edition of the Star Wars LO-LA59 droid.
Star Wars LO-LA59, which is also known as Lola, is a toy droid owned by Princess Leia Organa on Alderaan during the Imperial Era. The droid made its live-action appearance in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+.
Lola – the animatronic toy – is interactive and boasts over 45 different lights, sound, and movement combinations through 3 unique modes. Fitting for an animatronic, Lola is expressive. It can tilt its head, flap its adorable ladybird-like wings, and create sounds.
Oh yes, it has legs but it is static, serving as a stand when in its grounded mode. You can display it and let it do her animatronic in its flight mode by removing the leg and replacing it with a clear stand.
The Hasbro Star Wars LO-LA59 Animatronic Edition was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center (May 26-29).
It will be available for pre-order starting on June 01, 2022, at 1 PM ET. The price is not known but I am guessing it won’t come cheap because it is described by Vickie, Hasbro design director, as “our highest-end, most premium, coolest animatronic edition of the droid.”
If you want one, or any of the products that were announced during the events, be sure to get yourself signed up to be notified when they launch next Wednesday, June 01, 2022, at 1 PM ET.
