One of the coolest sci-fi gadgets to emerge from the Star Wars universe has to be holographic communications. Let’s not pretend that we have not secretly wished for those Princess Leia-style hologram messages, but alas, that tech isn’t quite here yet (unless you count hologram girlfriends – and they’re more like companions than messages). But fear not, you can still pretend to get transmissions from Han Solo or The Mandalorian with the new Star Wars The Black Series Holocomm Collection.

Star Wars The Black Series Holocomm Collection

These 6-inch action figures, available in Han Solo and The Mandalorian versions, come with premium detail, multiple articulation points (29 on Mando, though I’m not sure about Solo), and a nifty light-up holopuck that illuminates the figure for that extra touch of realism. I would imagine it will look more convincing in a dark environment. Both figures also include a bounty chip with Aurebesh inscription for display. The Mandalorian figure goes a step further with a rifle, a pistol, and a jetpack.

And here’s the best part: these are just the first in the series, so more of your favorite characters will soon be getting the holographic treatment. You can snag these Star Wars The Black Series Holocomm figures for US$34.99 each, and they’re recommended for ages 4 and up.
