Suck UK Pencil Light

Not all pencils are created equal. Some write. Some are ridiculously huge and have the Declaration of Independence scribbled on them (plus a giant eraser up top). And then there’s one that’s super huge, doesn’t write at all, but lights up instead. Meet the Suck UK Pencil Light.

It’s been a while since we last featured anything from SUCK UK, but this one lurking in our inbox immediately grabbed our attention. The SUCK UK Pencil Light is an oversized, chubby pencil measuring 160 mm long and 25 mm by 25 mm. And no, it doesn’t have a massive chunk of lead for writing. Instead, it has a faux tip that actually functions as a switch to light up the “eraser.”

So if you’re in the market for a novelty light with serious charm, this machined aluminum Pencil Light can be yours for just US$45. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, which charges via USB-C (and yes, they thoughtfully include a USB-A to USB-C cable).

No word yet on how much juice the battery holds or how long it’ll keep your giant non-writing pencil glowing per charge—but hey, who’s timing? Well, actually me. I am concerned about battery life. All these years of owning battery-powered gadgets have given me a default anxiety for battery life. Which kinda sucks.
