Not often we see innovative design with electric scooter. The last we saw was the Stator Self-balancing Electric Scooter. The Stator is, until now, the best looking electric scooter. While the Jiangsu Xinri E-Vehicle’s Sunra Miku Max may not stack up to the Stator in design aspect, it is a pretty cool scooter in its own right. In fact, I would go as far as to describe it as adorable or quirky even, which kind of makes whimsical, I guess.
It looks like a shrunk down sports bike with some parts deleted. I do not consider it as radical because, after all, you can still clearly see the typical standup electric scooter form. I concur with our source that it is “something of a hybrid between a standup electric scooter and an electric moped.”
But on the other hand, I thought it looks like a lovechild of a road bike (such as Harley-Davidson) with its fairly handlebar and a classic sports bike without fairing that has been somehow spliced with a standup e-scooter. The looks is clearly not for everybody.
Aesthetic aside, this little guy is quite a performer. It is powered by a 800W Bosch rear hub motor that affords it up to 45 km/h (28 mph) and its 60V/20Ah removable lithium-ion battery of 1.2 kWh capacity provides it with a range of up to 60 kilometers (37 miles).
Other details include 0-100 percent battery in 4 hours, battery rated at 1,000 charging cycles, all-round hydraulic disc brakes, dual suspension setup, size 3.00-10 tubeless tires, head and taillights, and a digital display meter.
Unfortunately (or not, if you hated the look of it), Sunra Miku Max is not available in stateside. However, you really want to, you can pick up a unit off Alibaba for about $500-600. But it has its risk. The best approach is to hit up the folks at Sunra to get a quote, but then again, you will be looking at bulk order which you will have organize a mass order to make it happen.
There is one selling on Amazon UK too, but believe me, you will not even want to look at it because, the quote price is (make sure you are seated down for this)… a ridiculous 2,450 English pounds (or about $3,115, or the price of old automobile). It is also available in Russian for about 110,000 rubles, or about US$1,680.
