Think what we said is yet another Internet hoax? To be honest, we thought so too, but then again, even a compact camera with 24-4000mm equivalent zoom can let you see the Moon’s pockmarks, there’s really nothing not possible with today’s optics technology. Take for example Korean YouTuber MichaelHrd’s video proved that reading the words, or identifying an aircraft passing at tens of thousands feet above, is totally possible. DJI’s New Foldable Drone Goes Beyond Imaging, It Is A Sport Drone Too

Wait. Is there a drone race going on? Cos’ just last week we saw GoPro’s first ever drone, today DJI is quick to introduce the company’s very own (and first) folding drone called DJI Mavic Pro and boy, is it super compact. When folded down, the 1.64 lbs (743g) DJI Mavic Pro is small enough to be slipped into your bicycle shirt’s back pocket. Yes. It is that small. Parrot Disco Smart Flying Wing Is Capable Of A Top Speed Of 50 MPH

Due to the nature of multi-rotor setup, multicopters are, generally speaking, not very fast. So, if you seek the thrill of speed in a drone with the benefit of a first person view, Parrot’s new Disco FPV Smart Flying Wing Drone could be an answer. For one thing, if speed is what you after, this drone offers you up to a blazing 50 miles an hour (80 km/h) and if you don’t already know, it is, apparently, the first in the world of smart flying wing to do so. Together with Parrot Cockpitglasses, a first-person view goggle and Skycontroller 2, it would probably feel as if you are speeding amongst the imposing canyons like a daredevil, but without the actual risk except for, knock on wood, putting a $1,299.99 rig at stake. Apart from speed, it has good numbers in range and flight times too, yielding 1.24 miles (about 2.2 kilometers), 45 minutes flight time per charge, respectively. This Giant Size Egg Is Actually A Fun-turistic 4K Imaging Drone

What you are looking at is the world’s first flying egg. Called PowerEgg, dreamed up by China-based robotic company PowerVision Technology Group, this drone broke the design convention of drones by going, well, egg-shaped. The company came up with this rather quirky shape when they were brainstorming of a way to safely transport a camera-equipped drone. At a glance, it does resemble an oversize ostrich egg and it will remain this way until it is ready to deploy. Flipping up the four concealed rotor arms and flipping down four concealed landing gears get the aircraft ready for take off. Like most drones, taking off and landing can be achieved at a push of a button on the drone’s purpose-designed, gesture-enabled controller called Maestro. Yuneec Typhoon H Imaging Drone With Intel RealSense Opens For Pre-order

You know Yuneec? No, well, it is DJI’s direct competition and they have just make its newest aerial imaging multicopter, Typhoon H with Intel RealSense Technology, available for pre-order. But before go ‘yeah! It must be more affordable!’ Ermmm, not quite, but it does have some pretty cool features. First and foremost, it is outfitted with Intel RealSense Technology which, along with Follow Me mode, enables it to avoid obstacles while not losing sight of the subject. Sphere VR Drone Opens Up Like A Blooming Flower To Take Flight

Why do we have a feeling that drone of the near future won’t be the familiar quadcopter setup we know today? I mean, they will operate on the same basic principle necessary for a balance flight, but they won’t be presented as what we have accustomed to seeing. Fleye broke new ground with its spherical-shape flying contraption and more recently we saw one that folds like a book, which completely blew our mind. And now, a South Korea-based product design firm, nep design, seem to have combined both concept to create a spherical, foldable drone Continue reading Sphere VR Drone Opens Up Like A Blooming Flower To Take Flight
