When a helicopter in motion is captured on video, what we saw is a phenomenon known as aliasing whereby we a general blur along with occasional pronounced blades that appeared to be rotating in alternating directions. However, if you managed to capture the footage at a frame rate exactly the same revolution per minute of the spinning object, such as in the example of a helicopter, it will appear as though the blades aren’t moving at all. DJI Gives Phantom 4 An Oriental Makeover For Chinese New Year

In it, Apple offered a handful of CNY-themed products, along with some products in CNY-appropriate colorways, namely, red and gold. Though it is worthy to note that Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival as it is commonly known in modern times, is not about gifting, but still, it provides businesses an opportunity to dish out something special and in the case of China-based drone maker, DJI, it has prepared a special limited edition version of the Phantom 4, aptly named Phantom 4 Chinese New Year Edition, which was also featured on Apple’s Gifts inspired by this festive season. If Samsung is the juggernaut of the electronics industry, then we supposed DJI would be the equivalent in the drone industry. I am not kidding. The rate the outfit is rolling out drones is mind-boggling. Just this year alone, there are already three new drones and mind you, those are just what we have covered and not including the variety of accessories it has introduced. With so many drones for 2016, you may thought the drone maker would have chilled out for the end of the year and dig more into marketing for the holiday season. But no. They are far from done yet. In fact, the outfit has just announced two new drones: the ‘Pro’ version of the Phantom 4 introduced in March, Phantom 4 Pro, and a second-generation Inspire, dubbed Inspire 2, of course. Parrot Disco Smart Flying Wing Is Capable Of A Top Speed Of 50 MPH

Due to the nature of multi-rotor setup, multicopters are, generally speaking, not very fast. So, if you seek the thrill of speed in a drone with the benefit of a first person view, Parrot’s new Disco FPV Smart Flying Wing Drone could be an answer. For one thing, if speed is what you after, this drone offers you up to a blazing 50 miles an hour (80 km/h) and if you don’t already know, it is, apparently, the first in the world of smart flying wing to do so. Together with Parrot Cockpitglasses, a first-person view goggle and Skycontroller 2, it would probably feel as if you are speeding amongst the imposing canyons like a daredevil, but without the actual risk except for, knock on wood, putting a $1,299.99 rig at stake. Apart from speed, it has good numbers in range and flight times too, yielding 1.24 miles (about 2.2 kilometers), 45 minutes flight time per charge, respectively. This Giant Size Egg Is Actually A Fun-turistic 4K Imaging Drone

What you are looking at is the world’s first flying egg. Called PowerEgg, dreamed up by China-based robotic company PowerVision Technology Group, this drone broke the design convention of drones by going, well, egg-shaped. The company came up with this rather quirky shape when they were brainstorming of a way to safely transport a camera-equipped drone. At a glance, it does resemble an oversize ostrich egg and it will remain this way until it is ready to deploy. Flipping up the four concealed rotor arms and flipping down four concealed landing gears get the aircraft ready for take off. Like most drones, taking off and landing can be achieved at a push of a button on the drone’s purpose-designed, gesture-enabled controller called Maestro.
