The maker of the sci-fi-ish imaging drone, Hover, is back with smarter imaging drone simply called Hover 2. Like its predecessor, Hover is feature a unique cage rotors, but with the boon of un-caging to go into “BlastOff” mode that affords you to capture breathtaking aerial footage up to 5 kilometers (3 miles) and up to 23 minutes per charge. While it can do that, make no mistake that this is a selfie stick killer, now touting a very sophisticated 360-degree obstacle avoidance and tracking system – made possible by a ship-like optical radar and artificial intelligence.

There are way too many features packed into this advanced imaging drone, including a large 1/2.3 CMOS sensor that does 4K videoing capability and 12MP stills, a very compact mechanical gimbal, onboard GPS, and imaging functions like autoframe, omni-follow, trackshots, and cinematic themes. It comes with a companion app that lets you edit the footage, complete with soundtracks and filters, and turning it into short clip for sharing on your favorite social medial platforms. And it does all that while remaining ultra portable and sleeker than ever.

You can control with a smartphone, or with the optional Palm Pilot using just one hand, or the BlastOff Controller that gives the ability to fly POV when a mobile phone is attached to it. It is crazy how far Hover and imaging drone in general has progressed.
