Saul Hudson, better known as Slash, is a guitar legend. While Slash is best known for his gigs with 90s rock band sensation Guns n’ Roses as the lead guitarist, he was also responsible for other rock bands, including Slash’s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.
Over his four decades of professional life, Slash has influenced countless guitarists and musicians, and also amassed a staggering collection of 400 guitars. The guitars in Slash’s collection are wide and varied, including the holy-grail vintage pieces to prototype Gibson signature models, guitars made by B.C Rich, boutique acoustic luthiers, and more.
The guitar collection is basically a wet dream for guitar enthusiasts and guitarists. I guess you could say Slash is kind of the Jay Leno of the guitar world. Anyhoo, now you will have a chance to drool over Slash’s collection of guitars thanks to Gibson Publishing’s The Collection: Slash, a premium coffee table book that digs deep into the instruments Slash has used on countless hit records and on stages throughout his career.
The 364-page book, written and edited by Gibson editor-in-chief Chris Vinnicombe, offers insights drawn from brand new, exclusive interviews with Slash and photos of the rock legend and his guitar collection shot by the Gibson team and legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin.
