The multiplayer feature of Activision’s Transformers: War For Cybertron from 2010 may have gone offline and Activision has pulled the plug on the support since 2020 but it will continue to be played by many fans. However, if you don’t have the game anymore, or a console that plays the game, well, the good news is, you have the toys to remember the game by.
Folks, meet the Transformers Studio Series Gamer Editions. So far, three figures from the game were revealed and they are Voyager 03 Gamer Edition Optimus Prime, Deluxe 01 Gamer Edition Bumblebee, and Deluxe 02 Gamer Edition Barricade.
The Transformers Studio Series Voyager 03 Gamer Edition Optimus Prime stands 6.5 inches tall (16.5 cm) and is highly articulated for posability. It features video game-inspired decor and details and converts from robot to Cybertronian truck mode in 22 steps.
It is supplied with an axe, 2 axe handle pieces, a blaster, and Matrix of Leadership accessories, as well as a removable backdrop display featuring the Kaon Prison Break scene.
Also converts from robot to alt mode (in this case, a Cybertronian car) in 22 steps, the Transformers Studio Series Deluxe 01 Gamer Edition Bumblebee stands 4.5-inch (11.4 cm) tall and also boasts high-level articulation.
It is inspired by the video game characters and comes with 2 blasters, a sword accessory, and a removable backdrop display featuring the Defend Iacon scene.
The final figure of this wave is the Transformers Studio Series Deluxe 02 Gamer Edition Barricade which also stands at 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) and converts from a robot to a Cybertronian car in 15 steps.
It also touts a high level of articulations, video game-inspired deco and details, and comes with a blaster accessory and a removable back display featuring the Dark Energon scene.
The Transformers Studio Series Voyager 03 Gamer Edition Optimus Prime will sell for US$34.99 and the Transformers Studio Series Deluxe 01 Gamer Edition Bumblebee and Deluxe 02 Gamer Edition Barricade for US$24.99 each when they become available on July 01, 2023. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
