Transformers: The Movie Original Soundtrack Limited ‘Unicron’ Marbled Vinyl

It has been nearly 40 years since Transformers: The Movie, and at this point, as a super fan, if you haven’t got its related merch, including posters and vinyl records, well, it is high time that you did. As far as the latter goes, you do not need to settle for the OG release because Music On Vinyl has dropped details on a repress: the Transformers: The Movie Original Soundtrack Limited ‘Unicron’ Marbled Vinyl.

Nothing has changed as far as the OST goes but this repress of the classic G1 animated movie soundtrack is now presented on an Unicron-themed marbled vinyl. So, yeah, it is kind of a collector thing if you already own the original copy. If you haven’t, then this one should be the one to get—well, if you are planning on getting copy anyways.

Limited to 4,000 individually numbered copies, the 180g record comes housed in a deluxe sleeve with linen laminate, which is fancy speak for “this one’s gonna look slick next to your Autobots.” Expect the same glorious mix of synth and rock with tracks like The Touch, Dare, and the gloriously dumb brilliance of Dare to Be Stupid.

Other spec-sheet details include a 12-inch (30 cm) record spinning at 33 RPM, a single disc format, and just enough nostalgia to punch Soundwave in the feels. It dropped on May 2, 2025, for €27.99—pricing in USD is still TBA. Available now from Music On Vinyl, and possibly Amazon US… eventually. Anyhoo, Autobots, spin out.u haven’t, then this one should be the one to get—well, if you are planning on getting copy anyways.
