US Specialty Vehicles Jeep Wrangler-based Rhino XT

Among Jeep’s lineup, Wrangler is perhaps the only one that’s closely related to military. Though so, it doesn’t really have that modern day military-look that some military enthusiasts yearn for. This is where California-based US Specialty Vehicles can help. The outfit has the knack in turning regular vehicles into military-inspired examples, such as the one you see here, dubbed Rhino XT. A Jeep Wrangler Unlimited originally, it went under the knife which drastically transform its look, turning it into a Hummer HX. Granted, the HX never saw the light of production and it was not exactly a military transport to begin with (it was a concept and stayed that way), but you can’t deny that this faux Hummer HX oozes with thick military flavor.

It retains the same motor, a 3.6-liter V6 VVT unit that makes 285 horsepower, the chassis, and pretty much most of the equipment, but the look though, is radically different from what it was – thanks to the custom bodyworks that comprises of reinforced FRP body panels, removable hard top with latched deck lid and tinted glass, removable roof top with tinted glass, designer towing hooks and enormous flared genders complete with exposed riveting. Other details include redesigned heavy duty roll cage, 3D-look digital instrument cluster, Trac-lok differential rear axle, and 5 lugs 20×10-inch aluminum wheels with 35×13.40R20 on/off-road tires with enforced tailgate mount spare tire carrier – just to name a few. All these for a cool $75,000 (or more) asking price and no, Browning .50 Cal machine gun is not included (and never will).
