Say what you will about Vertu, but man, the luxury tech brand sure knows how to keep up with modern tech developments—or at least pivot fast enough to slap handcrafted leather and titanium onto whatever hype train is passing by.
Now, the brand has taken it further, hopping onto the screen-less wearables bandwagon with Cor Chain. If you think the fashion jewelry-style health band Lumysi is the peak of discreet health/fitness tracking, well then, think again.
Cor Chain takes the concept of a beaded bracelet and turns it into a wellness companion, marrying natural materials—the beads—with a titanium smart module that does the heavy lifting of wellness monitoring. Meanwhile, app-connected AI insights let you in on your daily signals without turning your life into a dashboard. Vertu says it is “more jewelry than fitness band,” and we sure cannot argue with that.
Not going to lie. I have never been this sold on a Vertu product before.
The tiny titanium module blends perfectly with the beads, quietly monitoring the wearer’s heart rhythm, blood oxygen, temperature, sleep, and energy. When I say “blends,” it actually blends—thanks to the silver-tone accents and cold-enamel styling that look more like intentional jewelry than a tech module. It is the next level of discreet.
As for the beads, it is not one-taste-fits-all. You get to choose from Hainan Huanghuali, Small-Leaf Red Sandalwood, or Star-Moon Bodhi Seed. Each brings its own grain, tone, and symbolism to the wrist. The bracelet uses either 10 or 12 beads, depending on material availability.
The device works with a companion app available for iOS and Android.
While I am impressed by the thinking-outside-the-box approach, I reserve some skepticism. Vertu has omitted some important information regarding this device. There are no details on the battery, battery life, or charging. It also does not say much about durability, advising only that users should “avoid impact, chemicals, perfume, detergent, high heat, and prolonged water exposure.”
I am also curious how the beads are chained together. Is it some elastic band? Or something else.
