We can understand why sometimes luggages are marketed with cars, but a suitcase by a scooter maker like Vespa? Now, that’s pretty weird. However, we must say it is still an interesting proposition. One that would keep hardcore Vespa enthusiasts from missing their lovely Vespa when they are jet-setting. The Vespa Khaki Suitcase you see here is apparently an official Vespa merchandize, though we can spot in anywhere on the official Vespa site. I guess this is a pretty old product, but as far as style is concerned, it is still worthy of a mention. Unlike the recent luggages from a few independent makers we saw, there is nothing high-tech about this piece of travel gear. Instead, it offers you a piece of your favorite scooter, starting with the obvious: a shape that recalls the design of the front of the iconic two-wheeler.
It has a rigid hull construction made from plastic and is outfitted with stuff you expect of from today’s suitcases, including TSA-approved locks, spinner wheels, telescopic handle, and on the inside, you get straps for clothing, as well as a zipped compartment ideal for stashing your kicks. The luggage measures 40 x 20 x 55 cm (15.7 x 7.9 x 21.7 inches) and weighs in at just 2 kg (4.4 lbs), which makes it suitable as a carry-on for most airlines. And obviously, you want to do that because you wouldn’t trust anyone to handle your precious Vespa, would you? So where can you grab one? Well, Italiamoto is selling at €123.50 and it is also available on Amazon UK for £146.58.
