Even heard of the U.K. footwear brand Walsh? If you haven’t heard of it, well then, you may want to get acquainted with the brand if you are a huge fan of Evangelion because the British sports shoe brand has teamed up with RADIO EVA for their first-ever collaboration.
This partnership has birthed five collaborative models of the “Tornado,” a flagship running shoe that gained fame supporting top runners in the 1983 London Marathon, now infused with the world of Evangelion.
The Tornado, which is celebrated for its ultra-lightweight design and refreshing side-line impression, has been a popular choice for its subdued sports aesthetic that sets a fashion standard. Based on this model, five Evangelion-themed designs were created, each representing different mechas from the series. The lineup includes a black model for Unit-01, a yellow model for Unit-00, a red model for Unit-02, an olive model for the Provisional Unit-05, and a navy model for Mark.06.
Each pair features heel designs inspired by the color schemes of their respective mechas. The left shoe sports the WALSH logo, while the right shoe showcases the mecha’s number in an exclusive foil print, a unique touch only available in this collaboration. Additionally, the shoe tongues are customized with special tags bearing both brands’ logos, and the British flag is reimagined in the colors of the respective units, making these shoes a must-see for fans.
Materials used in these shoes include natural leather (cowhide), polyester, and PVC, combining quality with iconic design in this unique collaboration.
