LEGO is not just ushering in 2024; it is also celebrating the Year of the Dragon with some super cool Chinese festival-themed sets. If you are into Chinese zodiac signs, or this Asia festivity, you will want to check out these LEGO festive sets.
These sets include a majestic Auspicious Dragon (80112, US$89.99, pictured above) perched on a rock mountain (or part of it) with a cloud and a plaque with Chinese words in a traditional celestial font.
There is also the requisite Family Reunion Celebration set (80113, US$129.99) that packs a whopping 1,823 pieces, a Festival Calendar that lets you build a functional cylindrical calendar with a very oriental flair (40678, US$29.94), and a Spring Festival Mickey Mouse (40673, US$9.99) which is a BrickHeadz Mickey in Lunar New Year getup.
In related news, the Monkie Kid Mech Ultra that we spoke so fondly about has a mini-me, the Monkie Kid’s Mini Mech (80051, US$54.99, pictured above). The set is the Monkie Kid Mech you know and love but in an adorable, 556-piece setup – complete with a brick-built cloud.
In another kind of related news, LEGO has released an adorable dragon set that has 149 pieces. It is not a Chinese dragon though. It is a western dragon with wings and strong, powerful hind legs.
Aptly dubbed Red Dragon (31145, US$9.99), it is a Creator set which means it is a 3-in-1, allowing you to rebuild it into a fish toy or phoenix toy.
These sets are part of the recent releases by LEGO which you can check out the entire list HERE.
