World’s First Motorcycled Powered Van by NIGHTRIDE

Want to see something that is crazy, completely unnecessary, and cool all at the same time? I bet you want to. Folks, meet the world’s first motorcycle-powered van created by automobile enthusiasts from Poland with a YouTube channel called NIGHTRIDE. Why? Well, because they can.

What you see here is a custom van lovingly called Kevin. Kevin used to be a Daihatsu Hijet van. It has its interior stripped and the bare interior replaced with a pair of steel racing bucket seats (sounds painful to sit though!), and a roll cage.

It has not only lost most – if not all – of the original interior but NIGHTRIDE also ditched the front swing doors, as well as the rear sliding door and the rear door.

The star feature is of course its drivetrain. Driving it now a whole motorcycle, a 600cc Yamah FZR 600, which is installed into the back of the van. The FZR has no wheels. The rear has been modified to drive the rear wheels of Kevin directly. A bunch of things were done to enable functions like sequential gear shifting using a traditional stick shifter, braking, and more. You can check out the video below to see Kevin in action.
