World’s Narrowest Car by Andrea Marazzi

If the world’s lowest car looks like a vehicle straight out of a video glitch, then the world’s narrowest car would look like it was pulled straight from cartoons like Road Runner of a car got squashed. That’s right, folks—the world’s narrowest car is a thing now. And it is crazy surreal just watching it roll down the road. Until now, I still think my eyes are playing a trick on me. It’s insane.

World’s Narrowest Car by Andrea Marazzi

Built by Italian maker-of-madness Andrea Marazzi, this hilariously slim ride started with a question: what if the Fiat Panda came in “extra slim”? We’ve had tall ones, short ones, long ones… but skinny? Never. So Andrea took an actual Panda, sliced it clean down the middle like a panini, and stitched it back together based on the width of his own torso. That’s right—this thing is human-width.

He didn’t stop there. Everything got the shrink-ray treatment: the hood, bumper, trunk, windows—even the seats. The seats are the original seats, but only narrower now. It still rocks the original tires, now hilariously hugging the narrow frame.

Obviously, the original internal combustion would not fit anymore. Heck. I don’t think any motorcycle engine will fit either. Hence, Marazzi has to go the electric route. Under the hood, it is powered by two 12V batteries and a 24V motor, with all the essentials: lights, horn, forward, reverse, steering, and brakes. Oh, right. This narrowed Fiat Panda is now rear wheel drive, but only on one wheel. The other rear wheel serves as a brake.

The front half borrows parts from a scooter. Meanwhile, the rear is, well, junkyard gold. It weighs just 260 kg (about 573 lbs), and yes, it actually drives. Andrea wasn’t even planning to take it to the legendary Panda Pandino meet, but finished it just in time and thought, why not? After that, as they say, is history. The man became a viral sensation.
