Continuing its celebration of the golden era of WWE (formerly WWF), Mattel has revealed yet another iconic pair of ring rivals joining its WWE Coliseum Collection. Joining Hulk Hogan and Terry Funk are Jake “The Snake” Roberts and “Ravishing” Rick Rude. Hmmm. The WWE Coliseum should really be called the iconic rivalry of WWE. Seriously, these figures and the rivalry between them do bring back a lot of memories.
Anyhoo, like many pro wrestlers, both Roberts and Rude had their signature entrance gear. For Jake, it would be his Burmese python “Damien”, and Rude, well, his ravishing physique and his snazzy ring coat. All these elements, along with the likeness to the actual wrestlers, were presented in WWE Coliseum Collection Jake “The Snake” Roberts & “Ravishing” Rick Rude 2-Pack.
And yeah, Jake is supplied with a posable Damien letting you recreate the many-ring appearance with the animal and Rick gets his flashy coat. Each figure boasts over 30 points of articulation and comes with swappable heads as well as hands.
The special 2-pack revisits the classic 1988 rivalry between Jake “The Snake” Roberts and “Ravishing” Rick Rude and comes in specially designed nostalgic packaging that looks so good that you probably won’t want to unbox them and risk destroying the beautiful package. Thankfully, you. won’t have ripped the package apart because it comes with a slide-out backer which lets you access the figures without damaging the packaging.
