Whether or not you are fan of the most iconic kaiju in the entertainment’s history, Godzilla, you will want the X-Plus Gigantic Series Godzilla 2019 in your life. Why? Because, it is freaking massive! Like, very, very massive. At an astounding 97 cm (3 feet and 2.189 inches!) long and a towering 47 cm (1 foot 6.5 inches), the X-Plus Gigantic Series Godzilla 2019 is truly the king of monsters even in the toy collectible world. There’s no need to put its size in perspective; just have a look at the person holding it and it pretty much says it all.
But the PVC collectible based on the movie Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters (2019, Legendary Entertainment) is not just about imposing size; it is the attention to details that should amaze fans as well. It has everything. Like, you know, the scaly skin, the spiny back that stretches from the back to the tail and a gaping mouth showing off the King of the Monsters’ razor-sharp teeth for sinking into the King Ghidorah.
It is also quite a monster in price too if you are thinking about getting one. We heard it is available to order now in Japan at a monstrous 66,000 yen (or about US$612 based on today’s going rate). It is not available internationally at this point, but I am pretty sure it will be a matter of time. I am not going to lie. I was sold until the price part came up. Man, 600+ dollars for a collectible is a bit of excessive for me personally.
Man, I just can’t get over how big it is. We noted that it is so big that it needed a stand to help balance it at the tail. Well, what can I say? It’s a good enough prove that monstrosity this size can never exist and it is probably a good thing. Can’t imagine mankind had to deal with a towering beast rampaging across our city.
