If you are a creative, you will want to know about this new product from Sony Electronics, the Sony MRW-S3 Smart Multifunction USB Hub Card with UHS-II SD/microSD Reader. Claiming as the world’s fastest UHS-II SD/microSD card reader, the MRW-S3 also boasts USB 3.1 Gen 2 and up to 100W USB Power Delivery (USB PD), as well as HDMI output capability support.
The hub’s USB 3.1 Gen 2 is capable of ultra-high-speed data transfer of up to 1000 MB/s, allowing professionals to make the most of their high-speed external SSDs like Sony SL-M and SL-C TOUGH specification series. Additionally, with 100W USB Power Delivery, the MRW-S3 ensures stable and reliable connections with a range of USB devices.
Moreover, users can be notified by the USB power level indicators if each port is ready to be connected at max power supply levels, thereby negating the worries of sudden disconnection due to inadequate power. Last but not least, its HDMI output plays well with 4K 30fps, allowing you to hook up to external monitors without the need for extra adapters, or sacrificing limited ports on your PC4.
The 95g (about 3.4 ounce) MRW-S3 sports the same design language as the SL series SSD, featuring a durable aluminum body with a wave surface to resist scratches while the grip makes handling easier when connecting and disconnecting devices. The supplied detachable USB-C to USB-C cable for connecting to the host PC can also be used to connect to USB 3.1 Gen 2 devices or to a USB PD AC adapter of up to 100W.
