Good news, men—young and old—who want to exhibit their masculinity, or ladies who would rather not fall into the stereotype that girls equal plushies. XCARTOYS has just the thing for you to join the bag charm craze, or Birkin-ifying fad.
Folks, this is the XCARTOYS x TAO Design x Arena Breakout EDC. As the name suggests, this marriage of toy car and EDC is a three-way collaboration between die-cast model maker XCARTOYS, EDC maker TAO Design, and first-person shooter game Arena Breakout.
It is a push toy, or as regular people call it, a toy car, that serves not just to announce your love for cars and toys as it hangs off your bag, but can also keep one hand busy because it doubles as a fidget toy.
This alloy EDC push car features a greenhouse (i.e., the upper section of the car, including the roof, windshield, and whatnot) that slides. It is designed to fit comfortably in your palm while your thumb works the aforementioned fidget section. Very, very cool.
To our knowledge, the car is not based on any real-life ride, but it certainly looks interesting with its futuristic, sharp styling and shooting brake silhouette.
It is built to 1/64 scale and measures 8 cm (3.15 inches) long, 3 cm (1.18 inches) wide, and 1.8 cm (0.71 inches) tall. The official product name is EDC PUSH – Trinity.
The rear of the toy car has two tiny eyelets for attaching the included lanyard loop. The latter has a ring on one end that connects to the paracord fob’s round carabiner clip. You can then clip the paracord fob to your belt, belt loop, bag, or anywhere else you fancy. All this is packaged in a very cool, tactical style-inspired packaging.
At the time of writing, the XCARTOYS x TAO Design x Arena Breakout EDC is available only in China through e-commerce platforms for 89.90 yuan [CH]* (about US$13.30).
