Affordable flat-screen TV usually skimps on features and is often less than eye-pleasing. But that’s never the case with Xiaomi Mi TV. Perhaps, this is why Xiaomi was the number one selling TV brand in China in 2020. I am sure with the introduction of the new Xiaomi Mi TV 6 series TVs and the range-topping Mi TV Master 77-inch, they will only serve to solidify it as the number one TV brand in China.
It is hard to imagine it will not because the Xiaomi Mi TV 6 series has a starting price of just 5,699 yuan (about US$881) while the high-end Mi Master 77-inch sells for 16,999 yuan (around US$2,628). And mind you, it is 4K OLED TVs that we are talking about here.
The Mi TV 6 is offered in 55- and 65-inch models. It has a 60 Hz 4K OLED panel that covers 98.5% P3 color gamut and touts a millisecond response time and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification. It is powered by a quad-core chip, backed by 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage.
Other features include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, IR, 2x 12.5W speakers, and a generous offering of I/Os. The display panel is just 4.6 mm thin and the bezel is minimal with respect to the display.
Meanwhile, the Mi TV Master 77-inch is not just a monster display TV; it is pack to the brim with features, including a dual 120 Hz high refresh rate screen that is Xbox approved and G-Sync certified. There is Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, as well as IMAX Enhanced Certification too.
It further features Harman/Kardon 70W theater sound, support for Wi-Fi 6, built-in Ultra Wide Band (UWB), a whopping 1,500,000:1 constant ratio, and 0 nits extremely deep black.
The TV is powered by a more powerful quad-core processor (Cortex-A73), paired with Mali G52 MC2 GPU. It has 8.5 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage.
Pre-order for the Xiaomi TV Master 77-inch is happening now in China while the Mi TV 6 series is already on the market.
