We are going to be quick here because there are way too many things happening here and we are not about to go on a 1,000 words article on it. It is about Xiaomi. The Chinese mobile phone maker (and maker of everything under the sun) has introduced a couple of new Android smartphones, plus a slew of gadgets. The announced products include the Mi 8 smartphone (including a delightful, transparent Mi 8 Explorer Edition), Mi 8 SE, Mi TV 4 75-inch, a collaborative standalone VR headset developed with Oculus, and the third-generation Mi Band (aptly called Mi Band 3) which is now water resistant to 50 meters (164 feet) and touts a brighter display.
In addition, there are a couple of budget handsets from sub brand Redmi we have missed (namely Redmi Note 5 and Redmi S2). Those are pretty new to the market too. Among the barrage of products announced, guess which product that had our full attention? The Mi 8 Explorer Edition, obviously. Speaking Mi 8 Explorer Edition. It shares the same spec as the regular Mi 8, but stands out as one that has a factory transparent back cover. Mi 8 Explorer Edition is the second recent stock factory handset with transparent back following HTC.
That being said, we shall not dwell on it because, why should you waste precious eye-power in reading my nonsense when you can jump straight to the products, right? Logic. The only caveat is, those product pages are in Chinese. Skip ahead for the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE specs, or if you desire, hit on the respective product links above to learn more about the individual product. Before you go, you have to know that all of the above products are only available to China markets at this point. No words if they will make it outside of China, but hey, it is good to know, besides, there is always Taobao and AliExpress that will see to your Xiaomi needs.
