This is the Bruder EXP-7. The latest expedition camper trailer from Australia-based Bruder Expedition. It is not quite as futuristic and minimalistic from the outside as the EXP-6 we saw a few years ago but it definitely looks more rugged and apocalypse-ready—not that anyone’s hoping for that.
The new Bruder EXP-7 marries the best of EXP-6 and the larger EXP-8, offering up unparalleled comfort, convenience, style, and luxury in the great outdoors. Depending on the model, it can sleep 2 plus 4, or 2 plus, and it boasts 1,245 watts of solar power, a 10 kWh lithium battery system, and 280 L (74 Gal) of water.
It has an unladen weight of 2,790 kilograms (5,950 pounds) and an aggregate trailer mass (ATM) of 3,500 kilograms or 7,716 pounds.
Like most trailers, it has two doors but these big guy doors are on the sides. That’s right. It has dual-side doors, allowing access to the interiors from either side. This allows for greater freedom when parking.
The trailer further features a two-way and slide-out kitchen from the EXP-6 for the preparation of gourmet meals while immersing in scenic views—or just being closer to nature.
The EXP-7, of course, has an integrated shower/toilet which also doubles as a mud room to scrap off the dirt from your day out in the wild before entering your pristine, luxe home in the wilderness that has been meticulously designed for elegance and functionality.
It may very well be a luxe tiny home on wheels but it is no softy; it is one tough trailer designed to combat extreme environments and power through difficult terrains.
The high ride hides and the versatile, patented suspension system with 12 inches of travel, along with the large 37-inch tall tires, ensure that it can be towed through any terrain thrown at it.
There are two models of Bruder EXP-7, namely EXP-7 PT and EXP-7 GT. The former boasts the patented Bruder roof-lift system that offers more headroom when parked. The former, on the other hand, has a fixed roof but in exchange, touts better insulation suitable for extreme climates.
