New York-based photographer Dale May, who is best known for his commercial photography of celebrity portraits and print ads, has taken a slightly different route this time round with the LEGO Star Wars series. the most notable pair in this series, are perhaps the Coco Vader and the V3PO Louis Vuitton portraits. as the name suggests, both popular Star Wars characters are given a luxury brand twist with the Dark Sith branded with Louis Vuitton, backed by Coco Chanel, while the talkative android is branded with Coco Chanel, backed by the famous Louis Vuitton monogram design. both artworks are presented in silver c-print face mounted to an archival acrylic, backed with aluminum – a framing process that gives each photo a glossy finish. these prints are available in two sizes: 24″ x 24″ and 42″ x 42″ and will set you back at $2,200 and $4,200, respectively. click past the jump for a couple of larger images.
