Star Wars fans who think you have everything Star Wars, think again. I bet you are missing a light of sort, which if it is indeed the case, then the R2-D2 Architectural Desk Lamp will help to complete your all-thing Star Wars set up. There’s something a particularly alluring about this adorable lamp based on the screen-famous droid from the sci-fi franchise, though we must stress that it wouldn’t be the case if its a Darth Vader’s helmet because he belongs to the Dark Side. It is an officially licensed merchandize and while it has a decapitated R2-D2 head as the lamp, it does no holographic projection, neither will it make cute digital noises (I guess you will have to improvise a little if you wish to have the sound effects). Putting out light is all it does, but as boon, it is definitely more articulated then the actual R2-D2 as it is totally positionable and adjustable, just like a good desk lamp should. The light socket will fit the energy-sucking 40w incandescent Type A bulb (who in the world still use that???) or the more eco- and utility-friendly 13w compact fluorescent (not supplied).
