Make no mistake, though. The LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater isn’t your run-of-the-mill electric or gas heater. It uses heat generated in the process of compressing and circulating refrigerant to heat water. This, LG said, result in using up to 74% less energy to operate annually over conventional electric water heater.

In addition to the heat pump and heater, the device also leverages on the heat from the air to further reduce electricity consumption.

The LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater, which is offered in a choice of 200-liter and 270-liter capacity, will hit the Europe and North America markets sometime in the beginning of Q1 2021. Meanwhile, expect to see the LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater showing up at the LG’s CES 2021 virtual exhibition booth from January 11, 2021.
