LG is back with a new InstaView refrigerator. This time, instead of making ice spheres, LG has incorporate the new InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerators with the brand’s latest obsession: killing germs.
In addition to rocking a larger glass panel for its InstaView Door-in-Door system, the new LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerators also boasts UVnano technology on its built-in water dispenser for enhanced hygiene.
Also new is voice recognition that lets users use voice commands to do things like check on today’s agenda, status of the ice and water dispenser, and believe it or not, even open the refrigerator door. You can even order stuff through Amazon Dash Replenishment too.
As per previous models, two quick knocks on the transparent glass illuminates the fridge’s interior, so you’d have a look inside without having to open the door and therefore avoid cold air loss.
Meanwhile, Door-in-Door design further aid in reduces interior cold air loss by offering a convenient space to keep frequency accessed items handy.
The star extra features of this year’s InstaView fridge is, of course, the UVnano technology. Harnessing the power of light to maintain a hygienic and germ-free water dispenser tap.
The UVnano operates automatically once every hour to “remove up to 99.99 percent of bacteria” that may be lurking on the fridge’s dispenser tap. The UVnano feature can be activated manually if so desire.
The 2021 LG InstaView refrigerator lineup will be on display at LG’s virtual exhibition booth during CES 2021, starting January 11, 2021.
