Here’s more news from UNO, and this one goes out to lovers of art and fashion. Joining the likes of Shepard Fairey, Takashi Murakami and the Museum of Graffiti is French artist Jean Jacques Ndjoli of the Paris-based NDJOLIJEAN, lending his name and art to a UNO deck, and then some.
The UNO x NDJOLIJEAN Card Game features NDJOLIJEAN artwork that plays with form, color, and shape, color-printed holo-foil cards. This collaboration is unlike any other because of how it is played.
Jean Jacques Ndjoli is particularly fond of UNO and never travels without his UNO deck. He has even adapted the game for faster-paced play, making it suitable for travel.
In the spirit of his creativity, this deck includes custom “Shuffle Hands” and “Make Your Own Rule” WILD cards, among other custom rules. Don’t worry if you don’t know Jean’s rules; the deck includes an instruction sheet with additional custom rules.
All you need to be aware of is to keep your mind clear and switch back to the normal rules when playing with a regular deck with your friends. The last thing you want is to make a scene by screaming that they’re not following the rules because the UNO x NDJOLIJEAN Card Game’s rules are different. It is an interesting take on a collab UNO deck and one worthy of any collector’s possession, in my humble opinion.
The UNO x NDJOLIJEAN Card Game will launch on April 25, 2024, at 9 AM PT for US$25.
