getting a new car to debut at international auto shows is great, but if you have a ride that has a particular niche market on its crosshair, then hitting on the niche market right on its national event day is the way to go. and guess what? that’s precisely what Nissan did: unveiling the performance model of the 370Z, the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO, at the annual Z car enthusiast gathering, ZDayZ, at Fontana Village Resort in Fontana Dam in North Carolina. powertrain remains unchanged, which is a 350 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine with VVEL, with the power put to good use at the rear through a close-ratio six-speed stick shift or a seven-speed automatic gearbox. the former features standard SynchroRev Match, the world’s first synchronized downshift rev matching manual transmission that allows rev-matched heel-toe-like downshifting. the automatic gearbox, on the other hand, has Downshift Rev Matching (DRM), adaptive shift control, as well as manual shift mode through paddle shifters. the 2015 NISMO-souped up model also boasts a refreshed exterior, featuring GT-R inspired aero kit that’s aerodynamically optimized and also provide an aggressive appearance.
other details include LED Hyper Daytime Running Lights, redesigned 19-inch NISMO super lightweight forged aluminum-alloy wheels by RAYS, retuned suspension, exclusive tuned H-configured exhaust system and muffler tuning, Nissan Sport Brakes, Viscous Limited-Slip Differential, NISMO rear spoiler, improved body rigidity, redesigned black-and-red Recaro leather and Alcantara seats co-developed with Recaro, leather and Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, NISMO red tachometer, hard drive-based Nissan Navigation System with 7-inch VGA touch display, RearView monitor, Bose audio system, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, auto-dimming rearview mirror and more. the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO joins the recently introduced Nissan GT-R NISMO and Nissan JUKE NISMO RS, offering enthusiasts a machine that strikes a perfect balance between street and track, right out of the factory, as tuned by Nissan’s performance arm NISMO. the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO is slated to go on sale in the U.S. this July, though pricing is yet to be confirmed.
