LG To Unveil “More Advanced” K8 And K10 Android Phones At MWC

At this year’s MWC, LG will also be pushing out two updated series smartphones, the K8 and K10. The new devices is said to close the gap between LG’s price-friendly mass-tier devices and flagships, touting “even more premium features rivaling those of premium flagships. But lets be real, they will not be a threat to any flagship with its 1.5 GHz octacore processor and a 5.3-inch HD in-cell Touch display. Mind you, that’s 720p we are talking about here. TBH, scanning through the specifications, they are really nothing more than beautiful budget phones.

The beauty acquired is the direct inheritance of the K series’ glossy pebble design which is further boosted by the 2.5D Arc Glass and three new colors for 2018: Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Terra Gold. So, what are the “premium features” LG is talking about? Well, about that, it is more about imaging, really. The K10 touts an advanced 13MP rear camera that shares the same technology, including PDAF and quick shooting with Smart Rear Key, as the flagship LG G6, as well as a high-resolution 8MP front-facing camera that supports Bokeh when shooting selfies.

As for the K8, it boasts advanced camera UX and it is now more capable in dealing with low-light situations while retaining a bunch of its predecessor’s features, including Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Flash for Selfie, et cetera. A few other imaging features include Low Light Noise Reduction, HDR, Timer Helper and Flash Jump Shot, an animated GIF maker.
