Toyota Prius is never associated with being fast, or even look fast or mean (except for THIS and THIS). Unbeknownst to us though, there is actually a Prius that actually looks fast, goes fast, and sound really, really mean. We are talking about the Toyota Prius GT300 Race Car, specifically the one destined for Super GT series 2019 season. As far as looks and sounds goes, it will wiped everything you know about this hybrid vehicle from Toyota. This is not the tame, family ride you last saw park outside the car park outside Walmart last Saturday.
This is a Prius on steroid. It is the Mr. Hyde of Priuses. The 2019 Toyota Prius GT300 Race Car is a road-hugging, low roofline, super wide and very, very loud race car. It may come as a surprise to those who weren’t into Super GT races, but Toyota Prius was in GT races as far back as 2012. At some point, it was briefly pulled for “a major rework” due to the introduction of a new model of Prius. Anywho, it is coming back and all of its glory was previewed by this spy video, showing the Prius-beast undergoing testing while dressed in semi-camouflage pattern.
The original Toyota Prius Super GT of up till 2016 was powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4L V8 power and this one here is no different. However, it is not clear which V8 motor it has under the hood. But I am sure we will find out in due course. Meanwhile, just sit back, relax and enjoy the video of the 2019 Toyota Prius GT300 Race Car whipping around the track. Trust me, it will be the six minutes plus of your life well spent.
