Two years on after its initial announcement, Disneyland has revealed the first close-up look at the Millennium Falcon, the star of the much anticipated new Star Wars-: Galaxy’s Edge attraction for Disneyland, California and Walt Disney World, Florida. The iconic faster spaceship in the galaxy is part of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction which will put guests behind the controls of the Han Solo’s modified freighter as one of the three flight crew roles.
The other main attraction, which has no images yet (there’s a teaser trailer, though), is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which puts you in the middle of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order. Little is known how the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be play out (is a ride or?). The park is set up based on Black Spire Outpost and it will feature a street market, food stalls serving exotic stuff like blue milk, and another icon of the Star Wars franchise, Cantina.
The park will be swarmed with creatures and characters of the Star Wars universe, so you’d feel like you are actually in the corner of this fictional galaxy. But really, that’s all with have for now. Disneyland’s Star Wars-: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open in both aforementioned parks in 2019. In the meantime, have a look at the teaser trailers of the two star attractions after the break.
