If you like to run in the cool of the night, visibility is of utmost importance. Besides not wearing colors that blend into the night, it is probably a good idea to have something reflective on you or the running shoe, or if you want to take it further, perhaps a glowing shoe. Reflective elements on shoes are a norm but if the latter is what you are after, well then Nike will have you covered with the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 in “Supersonic” colorway also known as Light Bone and black colorway.
While the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Supersonic” looks pretty much like any Vomero, it is far from ordinary. You know what they say, looks can be deceiving and this one certainly is very deceiving. Not going to lie. The black and off-white color scheme with the blend of textile, mesh, and plastic upper construction looks pretty bland but when the sun goes down, it comes alive with a blue glow.
The toe cap/outsole tip, the quarter, the heel, and the bottom of the outsole will glow blue in the dark. The effect is absolutely stunning.
Unfortunately, though, it does look like the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Supersonic” Shoes are not available stateside. It was released in overseas markets on August 01 for US$175 which, as you may have already guessed, they were all sold out. But not all hope is lost; you can still find on on online marketplaces including the likes of StockX, and Stadium Goods as well as on eBay.
