Whether or not a MINI Cooper is electric or not, you know it has gotta have a John Cooper Works trim, you know, because sports car, and JCW we have here for the new MINI Cooper SE. But the John Cooper Works is not quite what you think it is with this electric Mini Cooper.
The MINI Cooper SE, an all-electric vehicle, showcases impressive performance with 218 hp, 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque, and a rapid 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.7 seconds, all while emitting zero CO2. Equipped with a 54.2 kWh high-voltage battery, it boasts a WLTP-tested range of up to 402 km (250 miles).
For efficient charging, the car supports fast DC charging up to 95 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in around 30 minutes, and 11 kW AC charging. Navigation-based battery preparation optimizes charging in various weather conditions, ensuring shorter charging times, particularly in colder climates.
The vehicle can be ordered in the John Cooper Works Trim, accentuating its sporty appearance with features like distinctive logos, 18-inch wheels, and unique body accents. Do note that JCW here is a “trim” and therefore it represents no mechanical upgrades. The JCW trim still shares the same specs as laid out above. But the good thing is, the interior gets the JCW touches too.
The interior exudes a racing-inspired style, featuring JCW seats with synthetic leather, red stitching, and multi-colored knitted material. Technologically, it offers a high-resolution OLED display and MINI Experience Modes, including the GO-KART Mode enhancing the driving experience. Advanced driver assistance systems like Parking Assistant Plus and EXPLORE Mode for smartphone-enabled parking add convenience.
